DVD'S SANITIZED FOR SEX, VIOLENCE, AND LANGUAGE
I actually believe the ability to play a G-rated version of a film on DVD is a great idea. Very simple programming in the DVD makes this an inexpensive value-added consumer option that can only increase sales. But as you might expert, Hollywood is balking, because many see it as an infringement on creative rights and copyrights. The studios even have some legitimate branding concerns.
